Missoula Downtown Foundation
Downtown Missoula is the heart of our vibrant city. With nearly $850 Million currently invested or scheduled for future investment, Downtown Missoula is changing. The Missoula Downtown Foundation is playing a very active role in these changes by raising funds for major projects such as Caras Park Improvements, the Downtown Wayfinding System Information Kiosks, and Placemaking initiatives such as holiday decor, flowers, boulevard banners, and more.
The Missoula Downtown Foundation was created as a 501(c)(3) organization in 2010 to help generate funds for downtown and Caras Park Improvements . The mission of the Foundation is to support and promote Missoula through enhancement of Downtown through vibrancy of arts and culture, livability, economy and safety: Commerce, Heritage, Culture, & Living.
Over the past 11 years, the Missoula Downtown Foundation has raised and invested more than $1.8 million into Downtown Missoula. That total includes investments in Caras Park, the Light Our Bridges project, the Wayfinding Pedestrian Directional Signs, Downtown flower baskets and boulevard banners, the Small Business Support Fund, the Heritage Missoula Legacy Trail kiosks and medallions, and infrastructure upgrades for the Downtown holiday décor. These Downtown Missoula projects connect our community and enhance the quality of life for both residents and visitors.
